Progress on Memos Presentation

Our group is working well together, we have the power point finished for the most part. The only thing we need to work on is streamlining the text a little here and there as well as come up with our speaking parts. We are in very good shape to present the Tuesday after break.

For my project I will be creating the instructions on how to make packets for the Accelerant LARP system. Packets are small bean bags made out of a stretchy fabric and filled with beans used to simulate casting spells, throwing projectiles or things flyimg through the air. There are specific rules as to how big these should be and what they are made out so that when they hit people or things they cause as little damage as possible. Although these are meant to be thrown, they are light enough so even the least athletically inclined can be effective with them. People all shapes and sizes are drawn by the allure of a fighting goblins along side their companions who may or may not be human at the time.

Designing Documents and Web Sites

The chapter does a good job in explaining the important aspects in designing a web document. The chapter starts off by explaining out how to plan out your document, touching on understanding your audience. The chapter does a good job in explaining how to design web pages and further delves into the more specific aspects of including using white space (or lack of), the kind of font you use and how important colors can be. The same information and body of a document can have different effects simply because of how they are designed. I think the chapter does a good job in explaining how to design a document in an objective way. The objective stance is important because there are aspects that are subjective that should not be presented in a subjective way.

and is instructions on how to tie a tie. The instructions seem to be simple, yet effective. As per the a technical document, however it does not contain any words in combination with the picture. The audience for the picture is anyone trying to tie a tie.
